Anyways I did like however Marty Stuart's album "This One's Gonna Hurt You" which has his father-in-law Johnny Cash singing in one song with him.

Yeah, I like several Marty Stuart songs...Hillbilly Rock, Western Girls, Little Things...

I don't like any country music made before about the '70s, and I hate everything made since. The only country song I actually enjoy is T-R-O-U-B-L-E by Travis Tritt, only because it was in Tremors 2.

Can't stand Nu-Country or whatever the shite they call it, when Carrie Bleeding Underwood is a big star in your genre it's time to call in the exorcist.

However I do like quite a few Country songs:

Much of Kenny Rogers output when he was young and not especially sentimental: Just Dropped in, Ruby that sort of thing.
Johnny Cash is always good, even when covering NIN
Willie Nelson likewise is also almost eternally fantastic.
And ending like I began, with an artist who isn't as twee as many think, Dolly Parton had some great little songs back in the day.

Onil, you've heard Eef Barzelay's first solo album right?  It's great.  Also, if you haven't checked it out, Clem Snide's live album "Have a Great Night" is great.

I've heard stray songs from Eef's solo album and what I've heard, I like.  I've always been drawn to the simple combination of one voice and one guitar and his is one of the more unique ones I've heard in a long while.

We haven't really heard any live Clem Snide but Eef did do a four song Daytrotter set.  It's very cool.

Aww thanks for the offer, Court.  But you don't need to go to any trouble.  I'm sure we'll get around to it one of these days now that I'm aware of its existence.  :)
Well if you can't get ahold of the disc, I'll gladly burn it and send it to you guys.  It's great.  The version of "The Water Song" on it is absolutely heartbreaking and gorgeous.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Unless it was played on Dr. Demento....I have no use for country music.
