At this point... there are so many fan riffs available out there for free, that i can't see paying for a complete unknown. That may change as more reviews of this riff come in. But for now i have plenty of free riffs waiting for me courtesy of the Harass Bastards, Riff Raff Theater, Quip Tracks, etc.

I'm going to give this guy a try because they haven't been wrong about a guest riffer yet.  I'll wait until House Of Wax comes out though because at least you know the movie will be cheesy fun.

I don't know...I'll give him a chance. If Mike trusts him, so should I...I'm just not comfortable with seeing someone other than the regular gang on the front page. That realm is the sacred public realm.

Anyways, I would love to hear Lileks solo riffs in the future. That would be worth buying.

God yes! As my favorite guest riffer thus far, I'd pay five bucks of a Lileks solo riff!

Really? Lileks is that good?  I haven't gotten around to watching the Spidey 3 riff yet, but might have to hit that one next.

I was disappointed with Weird Al, but loved Fred Willard.  He would be my fav guest riffer.  Lileks is better than Fred?  That must mean he is really really good.  Can't wait to give him a listen.

Fred Willard was great, but comparing him to Lileks is apples and oranges. They don't riff the same way at all, Fred being more of a laid-back Joel-ish guy and Lileks being more of a Mike-ish character.

Sorry guys. Weird Al was best. I wish he had written more of the riffs though. His zany side could have had a better chance of coming out.

Oh God yes!  He was hilarious.  Do yourself a favor and make that your next purchase.

I'm gonna hit MovieStop on Monday to look for this, House Of Wax and Saw.  But I probably won't watch it for a while, since I am backed up on Rifftrax as it is.  Too much of a good thing is never enough.   ;D

I watched it and thought Matthew did a really good job.  Very entertaining.

Solo riffs are tough, and he could use another riffer to play off of, and there was sometimes too much space between riffs.  It's a catch 22 with solo riffs since if the riffer delivers riffs every 5 to 10 seconds, he sounds schizophrenic, but if he doesn't, then it feels there is too much dead time.

But all in all it was a great effort and I really liked it!  I will be buying House of Wax.
