Fan Project - The Lost Playhouse Theatre
« on: May 05, 2008, 03:49:23 PM »
Hey, guys.

I created a new project called The Lost Playhouse Theatre. What we're doing is taking old, silent-era shorts, and creating dialogue for them. Obviously, as a life-long fan of both MST3k and Rifftrax, it's similar in style.

This first one -- The Hazards of Helen -- has me doing all of the character voices, but hopefully soon I'll be able to incorporate other voice performers.

Let us know what you think. If enough people enjoy them, we'll keep making more.

I calculated the odds of this succeeding versus the odds of me doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

Er it didn't seem to work.

I like the idea though, I did one of those with my friend once for Broken Blossoms

Could you explain how it didn't work? It wasn't executed well, or there were technical issues?

I didn't want to be too presumptive...

Here's the direct link for folks: http://www.youtube.com/user/LostPlayhouseTheatre

although you should be able to put lostplayhousetheatre in the search box and come up with it.

If people ask for it to be playable in this thread, I'll figure out how to do it... and it shall be done!

Thanks for your help.

Not a prob, I subscribed to your vids (it occurs I might still need to do that to Josh's, I'll have to see if I've done that).

Please do embed at least one of them for people to see. all you need do is place the alphanumeric string that follows the = symbol in the vids address between the code that shows up when you click the youtube button (second row, six from the left) and bob's your auntie's live in lover.

Oh and Indexed  :)
