I just saw this movie with the rifftrax and more than any of the other movies, it recalled MST3K. Its easily the worst film that Mike has riffed for Legend so far and even though he tries his best (and is very funny in places), the overwhelming awfulness of Plan 9 even seems to subdue him. The advantage MST3k had over rifftrax is the host segments which gave a chance for the audience to take a deep breath outside of the movie before soldiering on, but here, taken in one fell swoop (as I perhaps, stupidly decided upon) Ed Wood's most famous film practically begs you to press eject on the DVD player and frisbee the disc out of the window (which would look a lot like the "UFO's" in Plan 9, just without the nipples). Thank the Lord for Mike, without whom I would've surely ended up driving my head into the monitor. I didn't ask for Tor Johnson-neck-fat jokes, but I was very glad when they arrived.
Overall : B. (Just no more this bad, please Mike?)
