Is there gonna be a poll again or are you just picking a title this time.

The staff writers are having a discussion about the upcoming movies this evening and will be figuring out what to do next very soon. There may or may not be a new poll, we're not sure. I will say upfront that this time there may not be, though, because the deadline of June 27th still stands. There are some issues with The Englert's distributor which unfortunately rules out more than half of the choices from the previous poll, so we need to reinvestigate how to handle the next release and future releases.

We will definitely continue to have polls every few releases, we like the level of interaction that gives you guys. We just might be able to have one this round - we'll see. More news on that tomorrow or the next day. :)

Well, seeing as how I own the Criterion version of Armageddon, I am glad that it has been put on the back burner for now.

I can't wait to find out what the new title will be.  I will riff the crap out of it, whatever it may be.

If you check the first post, I've modified it as neccessary. The new film we'll be taking on is I, Robot. The due date is still June 27th. We'll be posting the subtitle file soon along with whatever other information available. Thanks for your patience, everyone.

-Chris

One I own already as well.  Haven't watched this one in a while.  Should be fun.

And you know what's the best part about doing this movie? Less than two hours long.

Well, I'm 20 minutes in, and I'm already worried that my running gag with the product placment will fill up too much of the riff. The movie makers were fiends!
So far, we have
Converse Shoes, Fedex, Audi, and Prudencial.

First-
Has anyone started their I, Robot riff yet?

Second-
I had to flaunt this horrible, horrible joke.

Don't worry: I AM quite ashamed.

I started mine about 5 months ago when Chris and I first starting talking about doing it, because we originally were thinking of doing it right after Harry Potter, and then it got severely delayed (never even got past the planning stages). I've got about 50 lines written so far, and I was watching it again over the weekend, just letting some possibles float around in my head. The wife and I are probably going to give it a watch this week with laptop actually open and get some real writing done.

BTW, in honour of the upcoming remake (and because of the model number of the new robots), there WILL be Johnny Five jokes in this riff. :)

I think we're on the same wavelength.  When I was thinking about riffing projects to start way back before I had my first one done, I had I, Robot, League of Extraordinary Gentleman and a couple of others that have been tossed around on the boards on my short list.  Glad some of my jokes are going to good use.

That being said I look forward to having the broader choices availible when the online sales section opens up and we can be free from the live show requirement and performance issues.  Armaggeddon SO has it coming.
