Just saw The Crawling Eye for the very first time and, especially after Joel's introduction on the new Shout DVD, it was better than I expected. There's a charm to those early episodes I quite enjoy. Sure, they're not as funny as later eps, and everything looks crappy, but I enjoyed experiment 101. It helps that The Crawling Eye is a fairly decent movie by MST3k standards. And Josh's Servo is finally starting to grow on me.

I have to say i am shocked at how much i like some of the early episodes.  Mad Monster and The Corpse vanishes are two of my favorite episodes now.  I don't know there is just something about them that I like.

I tried to watch A Million Eyes of Su-Maru but I just can't make it through the KTMA episodes.

Watched Teenage Caveman instead, really liked the movie itself.  The riff was pretty good but not hilaious imo

Yeah, I just watched The Corpse Vanishes last night and loved it. Of course, I love anything with Bela Lugosi in it, so the riffing just iced the cake. I enjoyed the spunky girl reporter who figures it all out, too. Pretty progressive for 1942. Well, apart from the fainting.

Hamlet. Holy crap, Phone Booth had more locations than that movie. And my frikkin' middle school could've built better-looking sets. Wow. I don't care if a lot of people hate that episode, I loved it. Especially the bit at the end with Fortinbras, which was a great nod to the fact that they had to edit the video down to fit the show.

I love that episode, too. I still don't understand what people don't like about it.

"Hey, isn't that from Hamlet?"

To be or not to be---no net yet!  (something along those lines)

Not one of my "top" episodes, but it's almost there. Maybe after a few more watches.

Yeah. Twit. Which is ironic, because that is the first thing I think of when I watch Hamlet.

I hate Shakespeare, so it's great to see them riff this one. But the movie is so powerfully dull it hurts.
