Hobgoblins is one of my favorites. "Boy, that sure is a bad movie, won't you?"

'When You made Hobgoblins had you just had your brain replaced with rat droppings?"

My favorite line.
Why yes. Yes, I did. Thank you for noticing.

The forced nature is the best part of that.

Yeah i love the fact that Tom has to keep telling Crow to say yes to his questions.

I just finished Mad Monster.

Is this one from the preCC days because I noticed Tom isn't voiced by Kevin
I thought they could only put CC and Sci Fi episodes out on DvD.
If they can release ones from the first season now I will be a very happy camper.

It's a very funny episode.

Strangely I think they gave Tom all the good lines for some reason.

Mad Monster is a CC episode. The third episode of the first season. Kevin didn't join the series until season two. Crow's voice was originally Josh Weinstein, who is currently working with Joel and company on Cinematic Titanic.

I watched Mad Monster recently.  Unfortunately,  no matter how many times I try (and I try about once or twice a year) I just can't seem to enjoy season one very much. The riffing is just so sparse and rough compared to the rest of the series. Seasons 2-10 I can watch over and over but season one sits hard on my head.

I agree with everything Dangfish said except the detail police in me forces me to point out that you meant to say Josh is Tom, not Crow.

Some of the confusion is that the early days of MST before going to CC are considered "season zero" instead of season 1

TOUCH OF SATAN

love love love love love!!!

"come sit with me, and satan too, he's your friend and mine"

I love every 70s movie where Tom Servo sings along with either "wocka chicka" or imitating the 70s muted trumpet sound.

"What do you get when you fall from grace? you only get cast into perdition..."

There isn't enough space to quote all the best stuff.

The Deadly Mantis. Very funny, loved the fake country music on the radio stations in one of the segments. Sad to see them leave the Planet of the Apes set that looked like a cheap cheesy zoo exhibit (absolutely inspired set design).

This was the first sci-fi episode I ever saw and, although my opinions of many episodes have changed over the years, this one is always somewhere in my top ten.

Just watched "Manhunt from Space" again. Much funnier the second time----love Winky and the gay nightlife. Love especially the skit where Mike visits as Winky from his mom's basement. :)

I watched Robot Holocaust last week.  What I like about this one is that it is the first episode I ever really watched any part of.

Way back when it aired on Comedy Central in the summer of 1991 (or maybe 1990, I can't recall).  It was a balmy summer morning.  I went out with my mom and dad and our dog Spot on a big long walk.  When we got home, my brothers were watching the tail end of Robot Holocaust, the part where the guy who invented the breathing apparatus gets encased in that vegetable pod thing by the master of the robots.

I didn't like MST3K in those days, and as you can tell I only saw the last 10 minutes or so, but I remembered that scene (and Joel's contest to name the guy) for years.  It wasn't until 2007 that I found out the name of that episode and just last week that I found and watched the full episode.

We just watched Human Duplicators.  Loved it when the androids heads break open and there's 2 bolts and 3 washers making up this highly advanced alien technology.  :D
