It Conquered the World is one of my faves.  It takes itself just seriously enough to be prime Mistiebaliciousness.  And I can't get enough of the Peter Graves stuff.

(phone rings, Peter's character picks up) Crow:  "Umm, Gunsmoke?  It'll never work, call my brother."

After 20 minutes of solid Arness/Graves slamming, this line always sets me off.

For me, I popped in my tape of Village of the Giants last night, got about 20 minutes in before sleepytime.  I haven't seen this one in a long time, and I sense some Deep Hurting on the way.  Scarily, the tape didn't "read" for a bit, needed some fiddling.  My poor, poor VHS tapes from 1995....

I just finished watching The Touch of Satan and Gorgo double feature. Both are great, but TToS edges out Gorgo in the laugh a minute meter.  :D
It's too bad SciFi opted to pull the plug on this show when they did. I feel that the cast and crew had a lot more to give creativlely and were just getting into their groove on the new network. I would love to see this show revived in some way.

Catalina Caper

I remember reading on here that some people didn't like it because it was a comedy. I thought it was hilarious.

I loved Catalina Caper too.  One of my faves because it is horribly unfunny movie trying to be funny.

Saw the bumbling insurance agent on an old episode of The Match Game.  Just as unfunny on there too.

I just watched Touch of Satan, too. Very funnyepisode. And Beez as "Steffi" was hot.

I do like this one, too. Very good riffing. But I think the "don't riff a comedy" does hold, it's just the few they managed to do were the exceptions. Not all of them have Little Richard hopped up on goofballs. And the private detective "comedy relief" looks like an answer to a prayer by the Best Brains.

I finished K-15 Superdome this (yesterday?) morning in honor of the Super Bowl and I must say I feel Servo's pain.

"Who won? WHO WON?!?!"

"Because of the words, so many words that Servo had for this show, he is in sick bay right now."

The only football related movie to ever get by without a single football.

Cave Dwellers.  The girl in that is kinda hot, and by her imdb credits, it looks like she went into the Video Game business animating cut-scenes for some pretty big games.  Miles O'Keeffe is too skinny to be a proper barbarian, and his hair looks more feminine than the girl's.  Even funnier is the mincing of the bad guy, beautifully ripped apart by the guys.

Watched Soultaker again. Gets funnier every time. What kind of sick chick writes in a screenplay for herself, "I strip while my mom watches me" is beyond me. Still love "WHO ARE YOU?" and "Zep is never wrong, man!! Is Sabbath wrong too, man?"

I was very happy to find out today that Soultaker is coming out on DVD Feb 3!! I can't wait!

Yeah, I loved Soultaker. The episode, not the.. never mind.

Isn't that the one where Crow is so excited to see nudity during the shower scene but had trouble with his contacts? That whole run is hysterical. Especially Tom and Crow's bickering like two kid siblings after Crow gets back. "I saw a lot! I saw EVERYTHING!"

Yes, oh yes. Why would a girl write for HERSELF to do: "I strip as my mom watched me with lustful eyes." IIIICCCCKKKKK!!!!! That's why I love the line: "Is there a name for Moms little illness here?"

Borrowed a bunch of Season 4 disks from a buddy and it turns out I already have about half of them.  I got to watch Beatniks for the first time last night.  Good stuff, and now I know where the "Shut up, Iris!" line comes from.

Wild World of Batwoman.  A teriffic episode, with an entertaining short and a ridiculous little movie that's funny on its own, let alone with the guy's tearing it to shreds (it also features some incredibly attractive women).  I love Tom's breakdown at the end, where he screams "END! ENDDD!", although they didn't seem to notice that during the beach party scene, a guy in the background gives the camera the finger.  :)

One of my top ten faves!

I remeber when I saw this movie on the Sci-Fi channel.  My mom was a fan of MST (not as big as me) and actually enjoyed the movie without the riffing.  She found it in the video store and watched it.  At the time I wasn't interested in seeing the movies unriifed.  Am now.

Godzilla vs Megalon.  Am I crazy, or is this movie actually kinda fun? The first 40 minutes is nonsense, but when the giant rubber monsters appear, I was laughing my ass off, without the help of any of the riffs.  I think I might be a fan of Godzilla....

Final Justice.  It's one of my few remaining taped episodes but I was glad they released it to DVD.  The sound quality on my tape is bad.

Gotta say the end credits are the funniest thing in the movie and I find myself singing them to myself all the time

422 - The Day the Earth Froze.

Fun movie. It was about 10 minutes in before I realized "Hey, I think I know this story!" and went and dug out my "Enchanted World: Wizards and Witches" book.  Good stuff. :)

Also, the short was hilarious.
"Guys, too dark."
