What recent cancellations have pissed you off?
« on: April 05, 2008, 09:42:21 PM »
The Wayans brothers said it best: "TV shows don't cause violence, CANCELLING TV shows causes violence!"

Here are some recent cancellations that have really pissed me off.

Journeyman

Jericho

Sarah Conner Chronicles

Bionic Woman (this is the only one that makes sense though because apparently there were a lot of behind the scenes issues dooming the show)

Could you post your source for your info on the Terminator cancellation? Last I heard it was on the verge of being renewed.

Yeah, any sort of link would be helpful. I'm curious if the Caveman TV show got renewed. It was surprisingly hilarious (not even kidding).

Journeyman was better than Jesus. Fuck you, TV. Hey, let's just cancel every show Moon Bloodgood is in! Maybe she'll commit suicide! Won't that be funny!

I'll be annoyed if Scrubs isn't given a proper send off.

It was some kind of a gossip/spoiler website.  There are a million of them out there.  I'll see if I can retrace my steps and find the article.  It's not official but this gossip ho ran into the dude who plays John at a party and the inside story was that they're cancelled.  So take it with a grain of salt.  I sure hope I'm wrong because I love that show and I think they got shafted by the writer's strike.  I think a proper season finale would have helped a lot.

As far as Moon goes, I'd forgotten about her being in that repeating day series last year.  Yeah, that cancellation really pissed me off too.  Grrrr.

Anyone hear anything about Carpoolers?  The show itself was pretty lackluster, but the son Marmaduke is one of the funniest characters I've ever seen in a sitcom.

According to the NY Times tv blog, Carpoolers is unlikely to return.  And one tabloid site I've seen has it officially cancelled.

Also I really liked Journeyman.  Those poor UK actors work so hard on their American accents but they just can't get the hang of  nineteen.  For some reason, that's a tough word for them to say.

Most of the TV gossip I've seen says that Scrubs will be jumping from NBC to ABC next season.

I don't believe CBS has said one way or another yet, but if How I Met Your Mother is cancelled this season, I'll be VERY upset.  Hopefully the numbers stayed relatively high after the Britney appearance and they'll give it one more.

Not recent, but I'm still butthurt about Arrested Development and Eerie, Indiana being canceled.

Arrested Development.

I'll never get over that.  Or Firefly.

Hell, if we're going in this direction, I'm still sore about losing VR5.
