Casino Blu-Rayal
« on: March 22, 2008, 07:20:35 PM »
The chapter list on the Blu-Ray edition of Casino Royal is different from the DVD edition. Are there plans to update the information file for the rifftrax with the Blu-Ray timings? I'd do it myself, but I'm a lazy bastard.

So I am looking for my first Rifftrax to purchase, and was eyeing this one up... thing is I only have the Blu-Ray edition. Does that mean I won't be able to ue the rifftrack for Casino Royale properly?

Just listen for Mikes cues and sync that way and it should be fine.  The timings of the sync lines should be close too as they are just time based.

No, the rifftrax works perfectly. I just sometimes have to walk away from my Rifftrax and I like to sync it back to the chapter number so I can come in at the beginning of a scene. The DVD has more chapters than the Blu-Ray. Timing-wise, the rifftrax works fine with the Blu-Ray.

Sorry, no blu-ray in the readme's for the time being.  There shouldn't be any issue using the blu-ray edition of a movie however.

Well I did notice that Rifftrax chose to do the Unrated version of Beowulf which is the hd-dvd / blu-ray(pal) version. Almost as if you guys are 'future proofing' the Rifftrax.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I wasn't sure by what was going on, but you were correct, it worked fine. And I must say, it was quite hilarious. I've since purchased both 300 and Beowulf. Good stuff. :)

not sure if it's true for all regions, but the PAL (aussie) version of the movie works best with the NTSC track, save for a few hiccups at the start and in the stairwell fight.
