Did anyone go see Mike in Wisconsin this past Thursday? I can't believe I missed it!

Where was it?  I didn't hear anything about it, but Mike's official page isn't updated with the most recent engagements.  Is there a better place to see what he's up to lately (speaking engagements-wise?)

It was at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. They watch mst3k the movie then he did a question and answer. I knew it was coming up so I was checking the university's website today and saw that it was last Thursday.

Thats lame...  Mike said he was going to update folks on if and when that was really going to happen.  :-

It didn't even get a mention on MST3K.com, so I blame the event promoters.

I actually talked to the wife about going up to see him, and she was all for it.  It only ends up being like an extra 30 minutes compared to the drive I made to Arkansas.  What a bummer.

From Mike's Blog on MySpace:

Meet Me in Milwaukee, um, Rawky

I will in all probability be speaking in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the 1st of December. (This is an official speaking gig, not just me standing on a street corner next to a shopping cart filled with rags screaming about rats.) It is not 100 percent yet, but close. Just thought I'd give some advance warning in case your travel plans bring you in the area. Like, say, if you are in Sri Lanka and suddenly have a hankering to hear me make jokes about Point Break, now you can swing by Wisconsin.

I think somebody should start a Mike sightings websites. You know like Bigfoot or UFOs. Tons of blurry pictures of mike in his natural habitat form all over the country. Yes i know im nuts. But i just know the elusive Micheal J Nelson dose exist. Just Kidding.

And a paltry six hours for me!

Yo ho ho,
Mike appeared at Univ. Wisc.- Milwaukee last Friday (Dec. 1st).  It seems he doesn't do a lot of public appearances, or else he'd be more smooth, polished talking to the audience.  He had a couple of prepared items - one a reading from 'Mind Over Matters' - but wasn't very engaging during the 10 minute Q&A.  Of course, the audience seemed oblivious to Mike's post-MST3K work; my wife's question about Rifftrax was the only exception.  :-[
Still and all, very worthwhile, Mike was funny, and even willing to pose with us for a "shadowrama" photo.
