Nice list

Quote
ReBoot(Why isn't this on tv,or on DvD?)
Good question, excellent show\

Quote
Jeeves and Wooster
Nice solid entertainment and much more entertaining than the Ian Carmichael version

Quote
The Good Life
Was it actually called that in the US? The DVDs all say Good Neighbours. But yes an excellent show, I love Margo. Penelope Keith is a brilliant comedic actress, ever see To The Manor Born?

Quote
Yes Minister
Excellent show and I want to get it on DVD but they're so damn expensive

I'd also add

Monkey Magic
Star Fleet
Century Falls

Reboot seasons three and four got a bare bones release 4 years ago but were pulled after just two months or so,I guess there is a rights issue or something.  Just like the first season of Earth:Final conflict :'(  What gets me is that season 4 ended on a cliffhanger that we never got to see the end of!!!  I think my favorite episode was the one where they made an all out parody of The Prisner,it just goes to show you can make a kids show that is still for adults.

Jeeves and Wooster has made me a life long Fry and Laurie fan, also I started reading Wodehouse because of that show. You can get the whole show for $70 on Amazon now I swear when i find work again that is the first thing I am buying.  I still watch house even if it's not as good as it used to be because of Hugh Laurie.

Yeah on it's broadcast and DvD case it is called Good Neighbours because there was already a show in the US called The Good Life but i have watched the DvDs that have the British credits on them so many times that I call it The Good Life now.  Yeah my local PBS station used to run in the afternoons starting at 1 a show that would put together an old cartoon an old cliffhanger and then an old movie from the 30s or 40s and then they would run To The Manor Born(that is a good show to I got my mom the complete series for her birthday a couple of years ago)fallowed by The Good Life and then at four my ABC station would play Star trek TNG.  Those where the days.

Yeah i have the same deal with them and Blackadder.  i just keep getting Blackadder and Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister out of the dover Library
at it's like i own them.

I have never seen the shows you mentioned but boy making this list has shown me that in some way Tv isn't as good as it used to be.

Wow....another thread where you have to show your age to participate....

If I take "kid" as in Elementary School:

The Monkees
Batman (Adam West)
The Green Hornet
Lost In Space
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
The Time Tunnel
Land of the Giants
The Addams Family
The Munsters
Bewitched
I Dream of Jeannie
It's About Time
The Real McCoys
Top Cat
Jonny Quest
The Flintstones
The Jetsons
Magilla Gorilla
Space Ghost
Wait Til Your Father Gets Home
The Red Skelton Show
The Danny Kaye Show

Well...you get the idea.

Don't have the same regard for some of these that I had at the time but...

Although, even then I used to say to my mother that it was really weird how Dr. Smith used to pull Will Robinson to him and hold him close....

(Mom tried to explain it as he was holding him there so if there was an attack he could put Will behind him quickly and protect him.  I didn't buy it.)

When I was really little I watched Masters of the Universe.  I've watched a few episodes since then and I noticed something.  I keep waiting for He-man to kill Skeletor, but there is a lot of "That'll teach him a thing or two" and He-man's Sword has to be the only sword that's never been swung at anything.  It's more of a shield in sword form.

I watched MacGyver as I got older and still love those episodes when I watch them on DVD.

The Invaders
UFO
The Prisoner (on CBS as a summer replacement for the Jackie Gleason Show)

God, I'm old.   :'(

Some of my earliest memories are of watching Cartoons and puppets. Spiderman and Friends, Dudley Dooright, Tennesee Tuxedo, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Loony Tunes, Sesame Street, the Muppet Show... When I got a little older, it was other cartoons and puppets...

*DEEP BREATH*
Super Mario Brothers Super Show
Captain N
Video Power
Alf
Alftales
The Real Ghostbusters
Garfield and Friends
He-Man
Transformers
Muppet Babies (It filled the space between Garfield and The Real Ghostbusters

On into my teen years...
Doug
Rugrats
Ren and Stimpy
Rocko's Modern Life
Ahh! Real Monsters
The Tick
Freakazoid
Tiny Toons
Animaniacs
Pinky and the Brain
Earthworm Jim
Eek! The Cat
(There are a bunch more... Close to every cartoon ever... but I'm listing my favs.)

Now, as a fully realized adult, I watch mostly cartoons and puppets. :^)

The Real Ghostbusters had some genuinely good episodes, that one about a flute that will bring about Ragnarok still floats about in my subconscious.

Batman (1966)
Are You Being Served?
Mr. Bean
Salute Your Shorts
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Hey Dude!
Where In the World is Carmen San Diego?
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Eerie, Indiana
Rocko's Modern Life
Ren & Stimpy
Pete & Pete

It's interesting that some of these titles are questions, and two of them contain Adam West.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (still cheesy awesomeness)
Arthur (still awesome)
Reading Rainbow
Wishbone (I passed high school english cuz of this show)
X-men (awesome)
Boy Meets World (I only liked the first few seasons, when he gets with Tapanga is when it takes a weird turn)
Teen Angel (only had 1 season! not out on dvd)
Animaniacs (I like this show better now then when I was a kid)
Dick Van Dyke show (I've been in love with Laura Petrie for as long as I can remember)
Recess (still a great show)
Sesame Street (great when I was little, not so much anymore)

I think the best shows are kids shows that are great for adults too. I still get a kick out of most of these shows.

Censors were really nervous about that show anyway, as a cartoon about a barbarian looking guy with a huge sword fighting a skeleton seemed like too violent a concept and it almost didn't make it to air for that reason.  They were pressured to make it as non-threatening as possible, which was just as well because it was intended to carry a moral message every episode anyway and it would have hurt He-Man's ability to tell you what is truly right and wrong if you just watched him hack his way though a battlefield standing over the bodies of his enemies.

Not that I don't feel for a guy having a cool looking weapon and never really getting proper use out of it.  I also feel for Leonardo who could only cut Inanimate objects and robots with his Katana, and especially the cartoon version of Conan, who could only use his magic "star metal" sword to lightly touch enemies on the forehead in order to send them to another dimension.

Smurfs
Snorks
Transformers
M.A.S.K
Thundercats
Voltron
If there was a transformer that was a hybrid, do you think the other Autobots would make fun of him or be envious?
