Your Terribly Truthful Thoughts

Setting aside the technical side of it (there are other threads for that)...  What'd you think?

A solid and entertaining 10 minutes, I think.  The old anti-drug films do make for an easy riffing target, but still good fun.

Yeah, I mean, if the point was to point out the ravages of drugs, don't trot out this very pretty woman and go "See, SEE what the drugs did to her looks?"

When I first noticed that, I thought I might be having a stroke, but no, that is how they filmed it.

I thought the riffs were funny but I was a bit annoyed that they had to sorta talk over the narration to make em.

I think they had to as the narrator filled up every second of time with blather.

I love it! These shorts are great.

One thing, though. Enough with the Daddy Day Camp. WE KNOW. It's not funny. I'm always one for running jokes, but this one really wasn't ever funny. I hate According to Jim, Who's Your Caddy, and Daddy Day Camp as much as the next guy, but I don't need to be reminded how bad they are in every single RiffTrax.

This one just wasn't funny.  Now and then was humorous, but not really funny.  "Lunchroom Manners" and "Act Your Age" were both MST3K quality, not sure what happened to this one.

Can't say I'm feeling this one. Couple issues I had:

The riffing was a bit quieter than the actual film itself, which I think in itself detracts from the experience a bit. The only thing you should have to worry about is the jokes.
The short itself lacked those quiet parts needed to throw something in. It doesn't work that well when you interrupt someone mid-sentence because it comes off forced.
The '50s era riffs are becoming played. Commies, paranoia, yeah yeah....

I have to agree that this one is not as funny as the previous ones.  I love the shorts though.

Thanks for the reminder; Its about time my neglected Heroin Room got a make-over.

Maybe a tropical motif with bamboo and Zebra skin.  Some incense and purple pillows.  Something "up."

Thanks again guys.
