National Treasure

Yay or Nay.

I watched this one in theater.  Not a TERRIBLE movie, but it is quite ridiculous.  There's plenty to riff with it's ridiculous conspiracy theories, the comedy relief sidekick, and Nicholas Cage.  Oh, and cleavage, the movie definitely gives you your moneys worth in cleavage.

A couple years ago my cousin the hairdresser said to me "I went and saw National Treasure.  It was ok, but I don't really like history movies."  I haven't spoken with her since.

I'm not sure about riffing National Treasure because I've never seen it, but I'm up for riffing my cousin.

Like you said, it's an entertaining enough movie, but totally riffable too.  I say go for it.

I didn't think it was entertaining at all. Everyone said it was wonderful but I found it extremely dull, contrived and stupid. It seemed at times they were going the "Indiana Jones", old-fasioned adventure yarn route and other times trying to make a serious, historical drama. You can't have it both ways Jerry Bruckheimer. If you do cornball action then you have to go all the way.

I'd watch a thousand "Phantom Menaces" before this piece of crap.

This film would be a good one to consider. One of probably 3 Cage movies that would be optimal. The other 2 being The Rock and Con Air.
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

A Cage trilogy would fit nicely in with Keanu and Swayze

Sweet I love this movie, would make a perfect movie to riff. I've mentioned riffing the Rock a couple of times but this is now at the top of my Nick Cage list.

Why so many haters for National Tresure? Does anyone on this board even like movies that werent made in the 80's?

I started a tread where everyone gives their top ten of 2006- prove me wrong.
