With a $200 million plus take at the domestic box office for NT 2, he won't be retiring any time soon.

Being a Stallone fan (unfortunately?) I've watched many interviews with Sly discussing his foray into more dramatic material, and how it ultimately 'hurt his career' (his words).
Cage is first a dramatic (quirky) actor, so its not like if he abandons action films his career is over, like Stallone.  He's just a rich man bitching.  Most of us on this board prefer his more dramatic films anyway, although The Rock kicks ass.

Oh.  Best of the Wicker Man below:

I thought he already did this, sometime after Wild At Heart.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

What the article didn't tell you, is that his decision comes after viewing the WickerMan and Next RiffTrax.

Didn't Cage or somebody else already threaten this last year? I remember a report about somebody quitting. So far, nobody has quit acting. Ever, I think. I don't believe actors or musicians ever know when to go away. The only thing that happens is they fail miserably and then they run away, or they become directors/producers. Fucking Gary Numan quit music to be a pilot, but then he came BACK. Proving there is no God, and all promises are meant to be broken.

The first step towards looking like a moron is speaking in absolutes.

The first step towards looking like a dick is correcting people all the time when they're just making fun of things. Wait, you mean the guy on the Rifftrax forum wasn't SERIOUS? Holy feces, Batman.

Whoa, whoa, hold on honey, Chris was talking about Cage speaking in absolutes and showing he is a moron that way.
