MST3K the movie is a safe bet, I suspect.

I think that one gets disqualified though...too easy.

I nominate: Evil Dead 2

any objections?

I'm going to see Evil Dead: The Musical next Saturday!  Woo!  Can't wait.

A couple of my favourites, Top Secret, and Labyrinth.

God, yes!

I think we can all agree Dune is a stellar work of art that works on multiple levels....accept as a film adaptation of the book Dune.

Ow, and there is NOTHING even remotely gay about it!

I resent you for even implying such a thing!

Don't they end up riding on the backs of giant sand worms too?

Love the books, btw.

Man I wish I could go to that...

So far the list of everyone likes movies:
Evil Dead (any I guess)
Monty Python (especially The Grail)
Fight Club
The Godfather movies (even 3? Ugh)

what else?
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

You can scratch Evil Dead, Fight Club and The Godfather, and you can add Citizen Cane.  There have been non-likers for those three.  I don't remember any for Citizen Cane.

That leaves us with

Monty Python (minus maybe the Meaning of Life)
Citizen Cane.

Let's see.  Is there any hate for Apocalypse Now?  It's not my favorite film, but I defiantly like it.  And how about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?

I really wasn't a fan of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.  I absolutely LOVED the trailer for it though.  But the movie as a whole just did nothing for me.

I also like Citizen Kane and the Monty Python films (including Meaning Of Life).

What about The Incredibles??  A great superhero film, and a great animated film.

Any haters here for that one??

The Incredibles was so awesome that even I loved it, and I absolutely loathe CGI films for the most part (not at first, but they've become so milguetoast that now I can't stand them. I prefer traditional animation or claymation anymore).

It's a gorgeous movie back to front and even upside down. Good writing, good cgi, good characters. I'm afraid I'll have to eat the face of anyone who didn't like it. With apologies, of course.

I liked the Incredibles, but since around Toy Story 2, I think Pixar's stuff has been falling off in quality. Monsters Inc? ugh
Finding Nemo and Indredibles are good but the rest are pretty middling.

And I also think that the Meaning of Life is vastly underrated. I place it above Life of Brian in my Python list. Grail of course is tops.

The 3 Stooges are retarded. I feel stupid just seeing them. Three grown men wailing on each other for no apparent reason. I could watch professional wrestling for that and it's be funnier. And I really don't understand why our beloved Film Crew boys love them so much.

I agree.
Fight Club is overrated. It has the reputation is does simply because people expected it to be some stupid Bloodsport movie and it turned out to have a theme and stuff.

I disagree so much my hand just turned inside out.

Also overrated? The Godfather. Why? Because people love it for the wrong reasons. The whole point of the film is that Michael starts out a good, stand-up guy, and then his father's "family business" turns him into a screwed-up dirtbag. Becoming the Godfather ruined his life. You don't want to be Michael Corleone, you jackass gangster wannabes!

I hate the Godfather trilogy. Why? It's not really THAT good, people! (Not a legitimate reason of course.

I don't know whether or not it's universally loved, but I do know this: if you don't like "Shaun of the Dead", then we can't be friends anymore.
