I know I'll get flamed for this, but I've never "got" the the appeal of the Evil Dead films.  I find them just really bad and boring.  And people idolize Bruce Campbell, for really no reason at all, other than he was in those movies.  I HATED Bubba Ho-Tep.

  Slapstick is funny when it's got structure. Stooges has no structure, therefore all I see when I watch Stooges are 3 guys beating the crap out of eachother to stupid sound effects.

   But I'll admit that hating Stooges is probably a woman thing, just as Pak admitted liking Stooges is a guy thing.

   My slapstick needs to come in the form that is I Love Lucy for me to find it funny. Or whatever slapstick Monty Python has dished out.

How about Monty Python's Life of Brian? A brilliant film, with (and I've said this before) the best ending in movie history.

Not me - I'm a huge Stooges fan. The Three Stooges are one of the greatest comedy teams ever. If anyone thinks that it's all just a trio of guys slapping each other around, they're wrong. There's a lot to these films than just slapstick. The Three Stooges films are well-crafted pieces of hilarity, and some excellent word-play. Anyone who hates the Stooges cannot possibly call himself a comedy fan.

For anyone who has not seen the Stooges' work, pick up all four of Legend Films' Stooges releases (including the 20th Century Fox issue hosted by Mike, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett), and enough [insert soda name here] and popcorn to last you through the duration of all four discs, and laugh your butt off.

Anything starring Bruce Campbell is good, except The Man With The Screaming Brain, which was just meh. By the way, don't judge Evil Dead 2 or Army Of Darkness by Evil Dead. Evil Dead 2 is pretty much just a remake of the first with an eyes towards tongue-in-cheek goofiness.

The 3 Stooges are retarded. I feel stupid just seeing them. Three grown men wailing on each other for no apparent reason. I could watch professional wrestling for that and it's be funnier. And I really don't understand why our beloved Film Crew boys love them so much.

Fight Club is overrated. It has the reputation is does simply because people expected it to be some stupid Bloodsport movie and it turned out to have a theme and stuff.

Also overrated? The Godfather. Why? Because people love it for the wrong reasons. The whole point of the film is that Michael starts out a good, stand-up guy, and then his father's "family business" turns him into a screwed-up dirtbag. Becoming the Godfather ruined his life. You don't want to be Michael Corleone, you jackass gangster wannabes! It'll SWALLOW YOUR SOUL! (Pretty slick how I brought that back around, huh?)

I'm a guy and I really don't get the appeal of the Three Stooges.  Maybe I just haven't seen the funny ones, but the ones I've seen have barely brought forth a chuckle in me.  Now to me, if you wanna talk about funny, then I need only say two words.  "Abbot" and "Costello".  To this day, even the worst performance of "Who's On First" brings me endless joy.

Well, Dalty, I do love Abbott & Costello's work (even their lesser films, such as the two flicks they did in color, one of which is planned for release by Legend Films), but the Stooges are my absolute favorite. Watch the YouTube clip. "Disorder in the Court" is pure comic brilliance. If you aren't rolling on the floor laughing when Curly is asked to take the stand, you're nuts!

Also overrated? The Godfather.

Oh, come on, you have GOT to be kidding me...you're bagging on The Godfather? The greatest film trilogy ever? (And the person who mentions "Star Wars" or "Lord of the Rings" will get punched in the face.)

I love the Godfather movies because they're so perfect, and there are very few perfect films in existence, let alone a whole trilogy (again, you Hobbit-wannabes and Lightsaber-swinging geeks will get socked if you say that George Lucas or Peter Jackson made anything better than Francis Ford Coppola's masterful trilogy).

I can't say for sure whether or not the first film is the greatest movie of all time, as IMDb's Top 250 has voted, but it's a great film, and a million times better than a lot of things, that's for damn sure.
