The midseason finale of season 5 actually gave me nightmares.

I doubt it.

I will never look at one of my favorite spring flowers the same way again. As soon as Jesse said what had poisoned the kid I started saying, "Oh no. No no no no no."

And another:

I like how Walter's smiling through the pain of his dislocated left shoulder.

I had really no idea why they were showing that until the near end of that shot.   My mouth just flew open and I stared at it for a minute.    GREAT filming......

I just can't believe Walt would attempt to murder a child to further his own ends.  Remember the 2nd and 3rd episodes, when he couldn't bring himself to murder a drug dealer who  was threatening his family?

I hope he ends up dead; either in jail or out.

I think death would be too easy for Walt. He's expecting to die and he seems perfectly fine with it. Jail time would be a killer.

Although production added like a billion more flowers than what one or two lily of the valley plants would normally produce, I recognized it in the scene when Walt was spinning the gun and I remember thinking, Why a lily of the valley? It's a spring-blooming plant, mostly suited to wooded and shady areas. I couldn't understand why Walt would have it in his austere New Mexico back yard. At the time I just chalked it up to someone in set decoration not knowing much about plants, but then of course as soon as Jesse said that Brock was poisoned by lily of the valley, I figured it out.

Also particularly evil of Walt was when he had to go back home for something but he wasn't sure if there was a bomb rigged or men staking out his house (which there were), so he fucking calls his old lady neighbor to go in and check to see if he left a burner on while they were "on vacation". UGH. The woman's cane was a nice touch, too.

Well, he didn't really attempt to murder the kid since the flower isn't fatal. He just knew it would make Jesse think it was the ricin. Otherwise why go through the trouble of stealing it and then not actually use it? However, it did go directly against his whole thing about not using children.

I read somewhere* that in the upcoming episodes Walt will do something that will destroy any last remaining bit of sympathy anyone may have for him.
