I felt so sorry for Hank after

, and I don't think I'd ever hated Walt more than that moment.  It was nice that he seemed to redeem himself a bit by the end of the episode, when

Fucking Walt was ready to kill Lydia after he got his list.  Good thing she had the foresight to anticipate that and save herself by appealing to Walt's greed and vanity.

Don't you remember that episode?  It was from late 2nd season.  He punched it right after he found out his cancer was in remission.  He was frustrated because he didn't expect to live this long and was sorta upset that he had.

I don't think we can assume Walt's extra lying ass was telling Skylar the truth about quitting the Meth business.

yeah, at the end when they're all sitting around the pool, there's that line hank says something about "the market has spoken" and walt gives skylar a look.

My writer's theory on what's going to happen:

Walt's gonna die and it's gonna be by his own poison.  That being the case, it's probably going to be Skylar because she's the only one in the position to see where he hides it.  They've been teasing that poison all season long, and really all series long but it's never been used.  You don't keep coming back to a weapon for AN ENTIRE FUCKING SERIES without ever seeing it in action and working at least once.  This is the kind of poetic justice this series lives on.  Remember Walt's cough in the season premiere teaser?  That's not cancer, that's the "flu like symptoms" this poison creates.

That would be a cool use of Chekov's Gun, but how would that make sense?  Walt has only opened his ricin hiding place twice.  The chances are astronomically low that Skylar would have seen him doing that.  Even if she did, how would she know what she was looking at?

All good questions.  With 8 episodes to play with and as good as these writers are, if they wanted it to go down this way, they'd totally lay it in correctly so it all makes sense.  Off the top of my head, I'd have Jesse confide in Skylar about his worries about Walt in an attempt to help him and in the course of that conversation the poison comes up somehow, then later Skylar sees it ... and so on.

A good 75% of writing is getting from where you are to where you want to be, usually by working backwards.  "Okay, so Davie needs to know sign language for this reveal to work ... Hmmm ... let's give him a deaf brother, that's the ticket!"
