As far as I know all the DVDs of X-Men have the same version on them and only differ in the ways of special features.  I know I have the "X-Men 1.5" disc and it syncs perfectly.  If it doesn't have "extended" anywhere on it, I'd say you're safe to pick up the cheapest one you can find.

I'm pretty sure they took the same disc from the first release and packaged it with a bonus disc to help the hype machine of part 2.  Fear not.

The one RiffTrax used has a runtime of 104 minutes; its the theatrical version.

I keep a list of DVD versions for RiffTrax here for reference:

Old thread, but I ran into issues with my copy so I'm gonna revive it.

MOST copies of X-Men will work, but the version of X-Men in this box set will sync fine for runtime but not for chapters in the .riff file.  Blame it on whoever authored the DVD and decided to add a crapload of extra chapters.

I've tried it with other versions (the original, 1.5, etc) and it works perfectly.  Just avoid the version above and you should be fine.

Does anyone know if the version in this set works for the riff file?  I have the collection edition (that doesn't work) and was considering buying this for Last Stand.  If the it works with the riff that would make it much better buy for me.

Check this site. It should clear up any questions... all versions appear to be the same.

The issue isn't what is on the it is were the chapter marks are.  The Collection (released with X2) edition has a bunch of "extra" chapters as compared to the original or 1.5 release and thus confuses the rifftrax player.  I really need someone with this version to be able to tell.

What version were you wondering about? The link you posted earlier leads to nothing. I can see if maybe I have that version for you.

Is the version he linked (and the same one I'm looking at for X1 & X2). Does anyone have this version and the rifftrax?

Moo!
