I havent laughed this hard sinse Bush choked on Pretzels!

and I mean it.... My word, this is by far THE best rifftrax so far.. even Kevin started to sound like his old Tom Servo self!

I loved his puking gag when it came to Jar Jar, and the whole  "cough"bullshit!"cough" sequence with the whole midiclorian(sp?) explanation

Also, Mike's Clown Princess jokes on the Queen XD

great stuff! this one earns a full five stars!

and it should be the icon rifftrax of Rifftrax!

My favorite as well man! The first riff "pants crapping insane" had me in tears!

Thank you Rifftrax!  ;D

Yeah, it doesn't come as much surprise that Phantom Menace should be the "flagship" RiffTrak. Sure to lure newbies and hook 'em for life.

Sorry if I'm hammering this into the ground, but I'm finding it astonishing that so many people are suggesting that this is the quintessential RiffTrax, and should be used as an example to attract more people to the cause. If you enjoy seeing butterflies broken on a wheel, sure, or are the kind of moron who to this day still makes "Barney" jokes, but I'd much prefer some actual humour and originality, and not the sound of two grown men being as annoying and childish as the thing they're criticising.

Really, so much of the praise for this RiffTrax can be summed up as "I liked it when he said the movie sucked".

I really hope this doesn't send the message to Mike that this is the sort of thing we want, and future RiffTrax are as crude and unimaginative as this one.

I'll try not to post on this subject again, lest I be mistaken for a troll - I'm really not, I love all things MST3K and RiffTrax; I guess I must be a bit more sensitive about people being mean about Star Wars than I thought  :)

I agree with you, Geoff, but not for the same reasons.  I personally believe that there's funnier rifftrax out there: Road House, Matrix, Point Break and Star Trek V are all better.  The Phantom Menace does rely too much on pointing out the movie sucks, and not enough on making insightful/funny comments about the film.  I did find it funny, though.

Bashing the Asian stereotype voices was kind of on the edge...  But generally, a good Rifftrax!

I do agree that this trax was a tad bit on the edge.. I still think Mike was a little harsh on young Annie.. but I was mierly aiming at the fact that Star Wars means geekdom.. and there's allot of SW geeks out there that would love to see this one ripped to shreads

but I kin of do agree with you, t'spidey ^_^ so no worries

The only time I've laughed harder is when I saw 'Space Mutiny' for the first time.

This film is so bottomlessly awful and boring, that it needed to be savaged as much as possible.

But, to each his own, I guess.
