What the hell kind of name is that for a payment card?
Well... let's see:
The company has their arms in many pots (per the Wikipedia page: used as a debit card, an ID card, and the company selling information without permission or protection of that data). For this, they need many arms.
They no doubt suck up a lot of cash from customers and hold on to it. Suction cups would be good for this.
According to the Wikipedia page, the CEO tried lying outright about selling customer information, trying to 'dirty the waters' so their real actions couldn't be seen. 'Spraying ink' for camoflage.
Seems 'Octopus' was a VERY appropriate name for this company.
