Yes, that's doctors; I'm talking about Victorian society in general; a brief survey of underground literature would reveal they had a very keen awareness of the female orgasm. :)

As was increasingly the case up till the mid 20th century, doctors were often either astounded by or gave the name of conditions to things that average people already knew about sexuality but didn't have a habit of speaking publically about.

There was a film out last year called Hysteria which looks at the invention of the vibrator.  I think it's a comedy.

It is supposed to be a joke.  The version of that ad that I saw first had different text under the box, it said something like "when you want to be sure".

Hunting around it seems the ad is from the Netherlands.  By an advertising group in Amsterdam.

He's fond of fondant.

I like that it combines the Marvel and Mythological versions in the various stories. :)
