It's amazing how many movie posters do the butt/side-boob thing.  I find it very odd how forward thinking Hollywood can be on some things, but when it comes to making money, they revert to being shockingly sexist/racist/homophobic to reflect the movie going public.

Really, it's a different kind of the "sex sells" mentality. Men are shown to be more masculine by showing off their power and muscular structure, which explains Captain America's, Hawk Eye's, Thor's and Hulk's positions. Iron Man is there for the robot fetishists in the audience.
