"Boxer" - The National
"Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?" - Of Montreal
"The Beatific Visions" - brakes
"The Fragile Army" - The Polyphonic Spree

Plus I really like several of the songs from "Icky Thump" by The White Stripes and "Sky Blue Sky" by Wilco.  They're on the To Buy list.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

I've been meaning to get this album, but something else always trumps it (for better or worse).  I gotta say, my favorite album of theirs is De Stijl, and the only one I really revisit with any frequency.  Each one of their albums that come out I get, but I look forward to each of them subsequently less & less.

There were were only a few albums I really got into from 2007...

Ben Weasel and His Iron String Quartet - These Ones Are Bitter
The Hives - Black and White Album
Bad Religion - New Maps of Hell

They're winners.

I can only assume that "Hissing Fauna" grew on you, because when I brought it home you were all, EW! And you even made the comment that they front-loaded all of the halfway decent songs on the album and the rest was filler. So now it's all killer, no filler? It is a really great album, but it was my pick! YOU'RE WELCOME.

And you're short.

I've just discovered Tori Amos' 2007 album American Doll Posse.  I'm not a huge Tori Amos fan, but this album is great.

huh, I guess I'm a Tori Amos fan now.
