From the All-Music GuideBanking in the U.K. are the masterminds behind the anarcho-capitalist art punk scene that has been taking Britain's college-age youth by storm these past few years. Their sophomore effort,
November, is not too serious a departure from their debut,
Deregu-volution, in terms of style or lyrical themes. They're still rockin' it hard with their audacious, guitar-driven song sound. Indeed, some of the arrangements - particularly in the three-song medley that concludes the album - the transition from the haunting, forboding Gregorian chant-inspired spookiness of "Daet, Camarines Norte" to the ideological centerpiece of the album, "Selection Sort," to the two part, "Marquee Moon"-esque twelve-minute jam "High Level/Footnever Lake Water Aerodrome," - are even faster, ballsier, and guitar-tastic than their first effort.. Overall, though these lads aren't likely to change much, they certainly are growing.

(Oh, and for the record, that thing where Pete Townshend's head is supposed to be is actually a zoomed-in view of Pete Townshend's nose with bigger nostrils drawn in...poorly.....in MS Paint).
