Don't know of you guys have heard, but there's a petition to get Al to do the Super Bowl halftime show. I forget how many signatures it has right now, but it's in the tens of thousands range. Al said that he would actually do it if the NFL wanted him.
Now THAT I would watch. And I am sure he would do some kind of "wardrobe malfunction", like have his sleaves rip off.

That is the one and ONLY thing that could get me to tune in for any portion of the superbowl. :^)

The Superbowl Halftime Committee or whatever responded by saying they don't pay any attention to viewer input when planning the halftime show. (This explains every halftime show ever! :^)) Still, if they got a substantial amount of signatures, I doubt they'd ignore it...

I love Weird Al.  He was one of my first celebrity crushes.

I guess that explains a lot about me.

Just got his live concert DVD.  Love it!  Someday hopefully I'll see him live.

Which one? To this day I am mad I didn't come up with the money to go see Al when i was living in San Francisco because that was the show they filmed for his first live DVD.

I was actually able to go that concert when it came through Dallas and I got the DVD when it came out. Need to get his most recent one, too.

Afraid I don't have any links on this, but one of the groups that encodes stuff for Rock Band Network is running a Kickstarter to secure the rights to do a "Weird Al" 3-pack for the game.

Weird Al was on 30 Rock this week.  Jenna recorded a song which Weird Al parodied.  This upset her, so she and Tracy tried to write a song that couldn't be parodied.

If it is this one: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228462

They haven't kicked off the Kickstarter yet and it isn't Al specific he is just on the list artists they want to license.

Al will also be in a few episodes of The Aquabats Super Show this season. I think he plays the  president in one episode.

So, you know those wonderful fake interviews on Al-TV? Yeah, it's a webseries for Nerdist now, and it's not just musicians being fake interviewed.
