Which version is this for?
« on: October 28, 2006, 12:03:49 PM »
Every saturday night is game night at my store.
I own a comic shop and a few weeks ago one of my customers brought in X-men the movie and the RiffTrax that went with it.
We all enjoyed it a lot and I bought a few more RiffTrax for us to watch each saturday since.
I decided for tonight to buy Halloween.
I don't own the movie so I have to rent it... so I called up my local blockbuster.
They tell me that they only have 2 dvd's in stock, one is the extended edition, and one is a remastered edition.
I am hoping someone can tell me what version I need for the Rifftrax.
Can anyone help me?
I'm going to go get the movie in a little under 2 hours.

You can use the 25th Anniversary Edition or anything that is not the "TV VERSION" or extended version.

DOH!
I rented the extended edition before I saw this message.
There are only a couple of extra scenes early in the extended version that are not included in the Rifftrax, and so it was easy to figure out.  When the scene didn't match up with what they were saying in the Rifftrax, I'd pause the Rifftrax commentary until the next scene would appear on-screen. That did the trick.

But, yeah, avoid renting the extended edition of Halloween.

If you're in a PAL territory, there's some minor problems with The Matrix too, as some cuts have been made to the UK DVD's.  Apparently, 7 or 8 headbutts are too violent for 15's or over to watch, but a massacre of security guards in glorious slo-mo isn't.   :)

So it's not the extended edition. I was just about to ask this.
