GoldWave "Voice Over" plug in
gammer:
Download trial version here for GoldWave:
http://www.goldwave.com/plugins.php
Here's what it does, according to the Help File:
"Mixes foreground audio contained in the clipboard with background audio contained in the file. This effect automatically fades the background audio in and out based on silent and non-silent regions within the foreground audio.
Use this effect to:
* Mix a voice recording or narration over background music so that the music automatically becomes quieter when the voice is speaking.
* Mix a translation over foreign dialogue so that the foreign dialogue can still be heard in the background.
* Automatically fade between two audio sources."
I'm going to test it out with The Matrix. But is sounds like what we've been looking for!!! ;D
EDIT
Here is my official guide for mixing rifftrax audio with GoldWave:

SaucyRossy:
Sounds like a sweet plugin....now I just need to learn how to use Goldwave.
MrTorso:
Great! Let us know how it comes out!! Then I guess I will have to learn how to sync with GOLDWAVE!
Hank:
Tried it on a few. It works extremely well. It takes a tiny bit of adjustment (how much the background sound lowers), but it sounds as good as MST3K, which is slightly better than the samples in the Rifftrax catalog. I'll probably end up buying the full version.
gammer:
Hey Guys...Hank is right, this plug in works fantastic!
I can post the settings that I used for mixing The Matrix (foreground vol, background vol, and fading).
I am seriously tempted to go back and re-do all of my RiffTrax re-authors with it...if I had the time. But for sure I will be doing Halloween and Matrix with it and any future releases.
You have lots of control over how low you want the movie audio to fade when Mike or Kevin are talking and you can control how fast to fade it.
Then only thing I noticed is this:
I had my RiffTrax audio sync'd perfectly to my movie audio, but when I mixed it with the new plug in, the DA syncs lines were off by .5 seconds or so. So I had to adjust for that. But as long as you are aware of this and adjust for it, then you'll be set!!
Just be sure to read the Help file, that comes with it, carefully, to understand how it works.
I went ahead and purchased the full version. $16 US is well worth it and they accept PayPal. But the trial version works fully and it looks like you can use is quite a few times before it expires.
