I find when I start concentrating on the movie more than the rifftrax, I nudge the rifftrax' volume up and the movie volume slightly down.

Helps a lot for me.

Funniest one I've seen so far!  And I don't have to rent it!

Attempted Trinity arrest scene:
- "No one will remember this scene."
- "Come back, we need to clean your registry!"
- "Hair gel, must buy hair gel!"

Or the interrogation scene:
- "Those are the same screens from the architect scene in the second movie.  It kinda completes the whole circle of pointlessness."
- "Do you want to join our Ska band?"

Onboard the Neba-whatever:
- "Man, the acupuncturist has a serious case of OCD!"
- "He's lit up like a Christmas Reeves."
- "Oh, Christmas Reeves, oh Christmas Reeves...'

My wife really loves the Matrix movies and likes Keanu a lot (yes, she knows he can't act).  During "Point Break" she kept saying:  "Why must they be so mean to Keanu?"  Oh, she laughs though!

More Keanu movies!!!

My first reaction was, 'huh, it is too, damn' to that line.

But you did pick out some good ones there, I definately remember we all busted up at 'Oh Christmas Reeves....'

(yea, yea... I know I'm way behind on my Rifftrax viewing... only managing to get to The Matrix over the past weekend)

I don't think I appreciated it enough to say it's one of my favorites, but it's solid throughout. I didn't get a ton of laugh of loud moments, but was consistently chuckling the whole time. The fight scenes were great, Keanu material never gets stale and everything directed towards the agents hit the mark. That said, I didn't find the little diversions that Mike and Kevin took as being terribly funny. They seem to be at their best just working in the moment with what's presented on the screen. When they just blatantly talk over the movie and reach for "it's time to be wacky!!" stuff, it left me flat (the whole "let's describe what our Matrix costume would be" exchange is an example). I realize little sidebars like that are going to happen, as sometimes there isn't anything funny to direct at the movie at that particular time. It's just that I was giggling right along when they stuck to the movie and I barely cracked a smile when they decided to override it.

Minor complaint aside, I enjoyed it. It's a solid "B".

LOVE IT!!!

Anytime I miss riffs because I'm too busy LMAO, we have a classic on our hands!  Mike's description of the Matrix was hilarious!

To Kevin & Mike: great work on this one!  I like it very much!

I have some things scrawled on a piece of paper that I believe were from when I was watching the riffed matrix....I have a few other rifftrax I've been watching too, so I could be confused.
And I have no recollection of these, but I know I wrote stuff down that made me lol...

"who's waldo"
"slinky bottom rubber nipples"
and something about "hey hey we're the monkeys"....?

I like the movie so sometimes I started watching it for real and filtering out Mike and Kevin.  I'll have to watch this one again so I can concentrate on the riffing.
That happened to my friend as we watched the Riffed version for the first time last night.

As a newcomer, I only had the pleasure of watching this Riff last night, and I must say I was pleased.  The Matrix is a long-staqnding favorite of mine, so it was especially fun to watch the Riff since I already know most of the lines to the film by heart.  As expected, Mike and Tom...er, Kevin...had great rapport, and there were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.  That said, I have to agree with the earlier posts I've seen regarding the off-topic tangents (the Matrix uniforms, "Would you save me?"), but there were minor distractions from an otherwise excellent riff.

Favorite lines/moments after a first viewing:
"It's be a Roadshow, with clowns and merriment for all."  "With guns."
"I can see the audience, they're buying it so far."
"Super Goth-girl!!!!"
"He's stuck in a Mac ad!"
"So I only imagine that I'm fat..."
"I think that merits a 'Whoa'."
"I guess we'll go out in the hall and look like each other."
"Deb called."

Great fun.  Next up for me: Star Wars, Episode 1!

I was disappointed by this one. If there was any overly self-serious movie that deserved a double-whammy from Mike and Kevin, it's THE MATRIX. The rifftrax crew opted for a more "observational" style of humour here -  a big mistake. Kevin and Mike would frequently chat between themselves without attacking characters and events as they occured on-screen, which would have made for a much more hilarious track, in my opinion.

For example, why didn't Keanu Reeves get bashed more often? Mike and Kevin were downright vicious to Nick Miller from TIME CHASERS, who was played by a struggling actor at least trying to leave a good impression, and yet Keanu Reeves - a fellow whose career has surfed on charm and good looks, minus any sincere effort - is practically given a free pass! What's the deal, guys?

My favorite just for sheer randomness: "Why is lunch meat so thin?"

Also enjoyed "Film contains statements of graphic understatement."
