Every time I watch Star Wars, it seems more and more infantile.

Almost as if it's a fixed point in time while you continue to age?  ;)

I've always wondered if the Hobbits invented filthy dirty gestures.. and now I know for sure.

No one likes to be called "Tom-noddy," and "Attercop" is offensive to anyone!

So is Alien, and that is still a brilliant movie.

Nah, Alien is terrible.  Aliens was the only good movie in that franchise, and Alien 3 ruined it.
Mmmmm....'kay. I thought they were all good in different ways. Resurrection was complete tot*.

For some reason this has me thinking of how spoilery trailers have become, the first time seeing Alien you had no idea what the monster looked like so the reveal near the end was pretty scary, I'm thinking in today's market they would put the alien on the poster instead of the egg, completely ruining all tension....

Alien does lose a lot of it's scariness once you've seen it, and once you've seen it with Kevin and Bill's riff of it there's nothing scary left at all....

Alien 3 is terrible but Alien is one of my all time favorite films.

LOVE Alien but I think Alien 3 and Aliens are on basically on the same level to me at this point.  Have you seen the Quadrology documentaries?  they're fantastic.

Agree completely, I think we tend to forget Star Wars is a kids movie that basically follows the most simple heroes journey with some cool stuff thrown in.

I can't find a picture of it when it's damaged. But does anybody else notice that in Interstellar when their ship Endurance gets damaged, it looks like the Gizmonic Institute 'G'?

And now I see this promotional t-shirt:

Ummm...

I don't understand what you mean by that. I can tell you one thing for sure, if I live to be an old man, I'm still going to love the original trilogy.

It's the Phantom Menace that's infantile. Think about it, every other aspect of that movie is meant for little kids as opposed to all ages. As much as I despise episodes 2 and 3, I think infantile is not a word that describes them.

I hate to say anything that sounds like a compliment but that movie is in many ways the antithesis of the Phantom Menace.
