Nope, it's completely fair because the sin of Sodom isn't homosexuality but lack of hospitality.
Well I didn't say anything about sin or that old debate. I was more thinking about the linguistic aspect of it. Whatever you consider the moral of the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah to be, you can't deny that "sodomite" is used as a derogatory term for homosexual. So it would seem linguistically odd to call a straight man a sodomite.
I wonder if there are any real, modern day cities or towns named Sodom. Any time I try to search Google for such information I get references to the infamous Biblical city.
