In honor of my 31st birthday, I have written a list of 31 ways I am awesome.

26)   November is my favorite Month

Tell me more of this.  November lacks an identity for me.

Oh, and happy birthday.

Clearly she loves Bonfire Night.

A little late to the Lucy Punch talk, but she's in a new comedy show called Ben & Kate.  It's a single camera American show, but it's pretty good!

Well of course she does, I can see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

Guess that's why she's not going to do series 2 of Vexed.

I think series 2 has already been shown over here.  She wasn't in it.  Judging from her past record, I'd be surprised if she was in the second potential season of Ben & Kate.

This has been bugging me lately. Maybe you guys can help me?
When I was a kid in the late 60s and 70s, I had this toy. I don't know what it was called, but I would pay anything to get one again.

It was basically a round metal vertical loop track. It was decorated in a moon/outer space motif. I remember it being purple and black. Stars and asteroids all over it.
And it had an electric car that either had magnetic wheels or the track was magnetic.  So of course the car or moon buggy could travel upside-down.

I'm asking because a few of you seem to possess amazing interweb sleuthing abilities. I figure it can't hurt to ask.

Best I could find was this:

Is it similar?

Wow! That is remarkably similar (Keep in mind, I'm working off 35-40 year old memories here.), especially the artwork on the base!
I know one thing for sure, though, that the one I had was less perfectly round. The track was flat on the top and bottom and I remember the car wasn't a rocket, but more of a moonbuggy or flattened armored car of some kind. Also, I think the track was black with the same artwork as the base.

But that is spooky! I may buy that if I can't find the exact same toy. You blew my mind there, man. Thanks  :)

Another close one! Mine had an even track rather than smaller on one side and larger on the other and no globe or spinning apparatus. But the artwork was similar with all the retro rocketry. I remember mine as being very slow and deliberate. The track is powering the vehicle on this one. With mine the vehicle was self powered by huge D batteries.

So the car (and therefore the track) was pretty big then?  That changes things a bit...

In my mind's eye it was. But I was 8 or 9 at the time and everything is big to a child's hands at that age. It DID fit two D-Cells (Do people even use those anymore?) and a motor. It definately provided it's own locomotion and I could use it off the track in the carpet which, of course, became lava and provided ambush opportunities from huge catlike monsters.

Some things still use Ds, I have an LED camping light that will run for days on 3 of them.

Anything that could hold 2 D cells is way bigger than the examples so far.  But looking for bigger battery powered toys I'm getting nowhere.  Just too many of them.
