Last week my face decided that it was going to be really crappy and give me a ton of razor burn. I figured if I let it grow until today, it'd be in a state where the razor burn was gone and I could shave again. I was right, and I'm really glad I was. For some reason, being unable to shave for several days REALLY made me uncomfortable. I also decided to take some precautions to attempt to alleviate the possibility of razor burn. I got some exfoliating cream, and scrubbed my face in the shower. I also shaved right after the shower, because the steamy room is helpful for that. My normal shaving habit is once with the grain, rinse, and then once against. Normally, I can handle that without any problems, but I decided to be careful today and go with twice with the grain, short strokes. It's not QUITE as smooth, but it's close. I feel MUCH better without the stubble, too.

My Mom asked me what a Douche Bag was and this was the best I could do.

Any other examples.

Did your mom proceed to ask for a douchebag for Christmas?

Except cognative adjustment (essentially faking it) actually has a lot of evidence behind it and does indeed have an effect.

Question for Brits on the boards:

Do calendars in the UK have the days ordered on them "Mon - Sun", rather than the "Sun - Sat" we have in the US?

I was looking at this calendar (not available here, apparently), and that's how it would seem.

Not as a matter of course in my experience.

Thank you.  I know across the pond the order for dates is different (specific day's date, month, year rather than Month day/date, year), didn't know if this was also done.  [Although I should've known better ::): most of the calendars I buy are apparently for full-globe consumption, with other countries' holidays on them, and all have Sunday first.  (Still not thinking well yet.)]

I wonder why this one would be different? [rhetorical, unless someone knows]  Because it seems there'd be no reason to color in Friday and Saturday, so I presumed they'd moved Sunday to the end on this one.  [The pic was too small to read the day names.]  If that's the case, I think it'd confuse the heck out of 99% of people (and certainly would make it inappropriate for a kid who might be just learning how to read calendars).

Oh, well.  Thanks, Tripe.  I appreciate the confirmation that Gregorian calendars are indeed stable. :)

If only Mitt Romney had thought to get one of these, he wouldn't have looked so stupid and thoughtless.

Even as line art they can't hide the truth. That's one terrified looking doggie.

Yes because they have mobility, which is also why dogs like rides in cars; they can move about and readjust.

This, and the Romney crate story involve the dog being locked in place, the sack is going to need a good clean after the drive is through.

Not arguing, and yes it's certainly more secure, so it's safe in that sense, but I just imagine if this sold in any great numbers (and I'd be surprised if it did) people were probably encountering a lot of fear extracted waste products and vengeful bites.

Jamie's Joke of the Week is quite humorous. I love the Mythbusters.

You didn't want to catch their late night show, though GG Allin was reportedly a fan.
