Just got back from the Corsham Sci-Fi convention with my brother, nephew and sister-in-law. It was fun! Danny John Jules and Chris Barrie were there (Red Dwarf) but the queue for them was way too long - besides, I don't really want to meet people, gawping is fine - and so was Colin Baker. In fact, there were a lot of Doctor Who cosplayers and stuff there. A half-decent David Tennant lookalike, an excellent Matt Smith, Daleks, Cybermen (old and new) a couple of full sized TARDIS, even one girl dressed as The Girl in the Fireplace (nowhere near as hot as Sophia Myles). They even had a couple of original props there, including a statue from the episode Blink and some of the Adipose creatures. It was a pretty small place and not a whole lot to do past an hour or so, but it was nicely run, incredibly well attended, and had some decent stalls. I think we all enjoyed it enough that there's another convention in a couple of months. This one has Caroline Munro attending!
I want a Bilnk statue!

I bet the Matt Smith look-alike you saw was a guy named Matt Elliott, whose eleventh doctor impression is uncannily like the real thing. I've never seen him in action but the pictures are amazing. I've been following him here for a while now:http://matteleven.tumblr.com/
He said on Facebook that he was at the Corsham sci fi convention yesterday, so I'm sure it was him. I first found him on tumblr because a friend reblogged a photo of him, and at first as I was scrolling past I thought it was Matt Smith. I was shocked to see it wasn't.
Or just go online and get any number of vintage OOT restorations available there.
It's possible that I have outgrown all interest in video games, and that kind of bums me out.
