OK, it also has a crappy rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I'll delete it from my shopping cart.
Netflix is streaming something called Jack The Giant Killer, has even lower ratings, that must really suck.

I guess Iron Man 3 will be the next 3D movie I buy.  Unless I get Epic, that has medium ratings, but the voice casting doesn't inspire me to want to spend $25....  Maybe it will show up on Vudu, I wish they would get more 3D stuff for rental, there are several 3D ones that I'll never watch more than once so it would be nice to be able to rent them....

That is the Asylum mockbuster version.

Just watched "Attack of the Crab Monsters" on Netflix: a Berteye Gordon special.

Crab that roar.
Holes "just open up in the ground overnight", yet have dead trees growing in the crater.
There's a giant crab in the room, but you only see it after scanning the room slowly from left to right
You hear dead people or something: I just didn't get that bit
Plus one of the least attractive bad actresses I've ever seen in my life
Did I mention crabs that ROAR?

Enjoyed it.  But my brain still hurts.

Logan's Run

I'm glad they're remaking it. It could use an update, and Ken Levine will probably blow our minds. Not sure who they'll cast in the new one seeing as they're apparently changing the age from 30 to 21.

But damn...Jenny Agutter was gorgeous.

Are they still actively working on a remake? Last I heard was YEARS ago, when Brian Singer was attached.

I thought it was really funny and interesting, did you know anything about it going in?

Well, I knew it was going to be childish and immature, but I had no idea it would be the repugnant, vile, hateful, bigoted murderous wet dream it ended up being.

Disclaimer: I'm saying this about anybody who watched and liked this movie. I just found this movie profoundly disturbing and offensive.

I haven't tried watching any of Bobcat's movies yet, but I've been curious after hearing some interviews with him.

I liked World's Greatest Dad.

We abandoned God Bless America because we weren't enjoying it at all either.

The World's End - The direction is good, the characters are great and I loved the humor. But the overall idea behind the alien takeover felt very much like an ignorant conservative's diatribe against Political Correctness. I know Edgar Wright isn't that stupid, he doesn't lean to the right politically.  So it probably wasn't intended. I think it was more against the corporatization of sf everyday things. But it did prevent me from enjoying the movie as much as I otherwise would have.

I'm watching Sharknadoi.

To be more precise, I'm watching the commentary track for Sharknado.

Years from now when folks ask "When did Compound's life go so wrong?" you can probably point back to this moment.
