Skyfall

Pretty good, but a little too long, could have been better with less of Bond's back story, or at least better editing of that segment at the end to improve the pace some.  I'd say if they cut about 10 minutes out of the last hour it would be much better.

You didn't really miss much, more pointless scenes.  I recently watched that all the way through for the first time, now I see why people say that movie is where Kubrick started going downhill, the cinematography is nice but there's just no story other than the flimsy "watch the journalist guy change as bad stuff happens around him".

Yeah I think that's what I remember most about it..
Watched it all the way through many years ago and remembered to just turn it off after that scene :-[

Too bad they couldn't do more with the rest of the movie..

I wish they'd done the whole book, I like the book much more than the film, though the film I find to be pretty entertaining. :)

Lost Highway. Like I am with most David Lynch movies I've seen so far, part of me said "that was great!" The other part said "what the hell just happened?" Overall, pretty good, but not my favorite piece of work Lynch has done.

P.S. What are Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez doing in this movie? Are they supposed to be playing themselves or...?

The Amazing Spiderman

Just OK for me.  Was more impressed with the extra of the stuntmen rehearsing.  Now, that's talent.

The Five Year Engagement

Again OK, at least I didn't have to see Jason Segel's penis.  He just shows his ass in this one.

That's not a taint, it's a hand hole.

That's evident in a lot of porn films too.

Sound of My Voice

I enjoyed it. I'd say watch it, seeing as it's only an hour and twenty minutes.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It's also a great movie to watch for budget filmmaking.

I'm definitely keeping an eye on everything Brit Marling makes.

Did you see Another Earth? I really liked it.  She was also in an episode of Community.

I went to a special screening of Faces in the Mirror, which was made by Dave Matthews Band's Boyd Tinsley. See the WHOOOOOOO!!!!! thread for a full recap on the evening and what I thought of the movie.
