The guy who plays Marius in the new Les Mis is in that movie (if I remember correctly), so I really want to see it....he's dreamy

Really?  I don't see it.

Godzilla vs. Biolante - Pretty good for a Godzilla movie. Early 90s, so it had great effects, without any CGI shit. Incredibly goofy but really cool looking monster. Most of the second half was monster battle stuff, so that is good. The beginning is slow, but not as bad as others. I still don't know all of what was supposed to be going on with the different groups of assasins running around.
It still had a personal pet peeve of mine: useless psychic chicks. But for less than a minute, one of them actually TRIED to be useful and do something. Of course they failed miserably, but even trying is better than we usually get from them.
I really hope they keep all this spiritual bullshit out of the new movie. We don't need any of that in a movie about a monster created from a MANMADE disaster.

He always seems like he has a faint scent of horse lineament and linseed oil about his person but I'm definitely in favour of American women lusting after British men and he's good in both Les Mis and My Week. When we went to see Les Mis the row in front of us was full of a group of girls who came to see it solely due to having liked the look of him in My Week so Anais isn't alone in thinking he's dreamy. :)

Yeah, I've heard others say it too. I even think my wife is one.  It must be about more than just looks.

The Spectacular Now
Another Sundance show. Directed by the guy that did Smashed and written by the guys that did (500) Days. Shailene Woodley is as good as you would expect. I guess the main guy was Chris Penn in the new Footloose.  He was very good. I wouldn't be surprised if either of them get talked about for Oscars next year.  This movie hits surprisingly close to home for me. A punk high school kid who meets a girl that is too good for him. The girl makes him want to be a better person, but it's tough to get a life.  That's my wife and I to a t.

Colin Meloy looks pretty cute when he lets himself get freckly. I may be biased, though.

Magicians

The movie staring Mitchell and Webb (UK comedic actors, known for Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look among others) as magician partners who have a falling out which makes their careers go off the rails.

Not a terribly well received movie, but we really enjoyed it. Not sure if people were upset about it being a bit more mainstream/broad than Peep Show or what, but it made us laugh.
FINE

Now, now, it's a perfectly fine Fu Manchu film, without a Asian fella in it.

I really do want to write a movie in which the good Doctor is the hero and all the cast is Asian.

That was sort of-ish the story of Agents of Atlas, in which a bunch of Marvel Heroes from the 1950's try to hunt down a mysterious Fu Manchu-esque villain "The Yellow Claw" (renamed the Golden Claw for obvious reasons), who reveals he was trying to conquer the world only half-heartedly while trying to get SHIELD agent Jimmy Woo to be his heir and by playing the villain, allow Woo to move up in rank in SHIELD (which doesn't work and he ends up as a desk jockey).  Eventually he hands over his organization over to Woo and his new team.

Do you have a blog?
Some times. Not at the moment. I have written for a few sites.

I like spreading things around. Blogs just sit in the same place. Generating traffic can turn you into the annoying spammer.
You know, if the space man puma thing turns out to be the correct religion, I for one will be very surprised.
