Whats the photoshop tool that lets you sync the contrast and brightness between layers?
like to brighten or darken a section of an old photgraph...
For the aspiring artists:
I use a combination of level-adjustment, brightness/contrast adjustment, and saturation adjustment mostly. These are all found through image>adjustments in Photoshop CS and CS2. For issues such as image /quality/ matching, you will most likely need to toy with the noise level of the higher-quality photo. This is found in the filters tool selection.
Quick tips for successful image manipulation:
-Don't use too much blurring in any way. This usually detracts from the realism
-Avoid enlarging anything without the proper plugins. This makes for poor quality in most cases.
-Be sure the lighting of both topics that you are merging is coming from the same angle, or else everything will look fake!
-Changing hues is usually not as succssful as messing with the color-balance tool because the cb tool has more control over dark, mid, and light tones
-Use the masking tool, don't erase. You jsut might screw up and masks help eliminate the problem of irreversibility
-Try to get the "multiply" mode for added brush effects to work in your favor, rather than changing the opacity of a layer over another (it just sort of works smoother)
-Don't listen to ANYTHING I say too closely

-Breaking rules is tuh-awesome
Have fun yall!
