power switch

Ok.  I have two infrared headphone docking stations on either side of my room.  When I use one the other must be off or there is interference.  I'm sick of unplugging and plugging the power every time.  Is there a cheap solution to my problem?  Run an extension cord with some kind of switch?  Something else?

they shoot infrared laser beams PKEWWWW BZZZAPPPP BZZAPP from the dock to my ears to my brains.

Easiest option would be a cardboard box placed over the unit you don't want sending...

Or get this type of thing (do a search for wireless remote control outlet switch):
