Any Love for "Enterprise"?
« on: August 19, 2007, 11:19:56 PM »
What is with all these "Enterprise" haters.  Scott Bakula was a great captain.  Tpol had big boobies, and you almost got to see them in the show.
The Andorians were kick-ass.  The alternate universe episode was awesome.  Explain to me why you made them cancel it.

I for one had a hard time finding it on tv, and that's mostly why I missed it when it was on.  For a while it wasn't broadcast in my area, then when it was it was on at 11 pm.  UPN screwed "Enterprise" basically.

Help me out here.
On timeout

yeah, i liked enterprise.  Dr Phlox was kickass.  Though most people who hate ENT, had already given up on Berman and Braga a long time before then, and it didnt help that they were on a struggling network.  I think the prequel thing smacked of Lucas in some minds.  I certainly liked ENT a whole lot more than i liked Hepburn in SpaceVoyager.

T'Pol had big boobies, and you almost got to see them in the show.

You Are Correct, Sir! :D

I liked the first season, but all the "future knowledge" stuff kind of lost me.

p.s. Although I hated the theme song, I liked the IDEA of having something besides the normal "light classical" theme music.

The last couple of seasons were excellent, with the 2 and 3 part stories they were telling.  It's just a pity that people had given up on Star Trek altogether at that point.

Oh, and just to make sure my own biases are a known quantity, I stopped watching DS9 after the second season, and I enjoyed Voyager (even though it jumped the shark in the last season).

Yep, I loved Enterprise. While it floundered a little in the first couple of seasons (but what Star Trek series didn't?) the latter two were excellent. They might have gone for the easy money on occasion (T'pol's aforementioned assets, the Vulcan-Zombie-Blast-o-Rama episode, etc.) but it was entertaining.

My biggest problem was that except for Archer and Phlox all the characters were very very boring.  And T'Pal being the most emotional member of the screw just sucked.  Would it have been so hard to do a few more days of casting calls to find an actress who was hot AND could act?

The last episode being the single most painful hour of TV I have ever watched didn't help either (Sad because rest of season 4 was pretty good).

I am a 'Veteran' of Star Trek from the Very Beginning all the way through Voyager!
I caught a couple of episodes..
It seemed to have been 'slapped' together half-assed!
And WHY they decided to base the show Back in time instead of Forward is beyond me!

Don't worry, RVR. They'll be going forward sooner or later. The past is limited- The future is endless.
