So are informants allowed to tell vigilantes that someone's not mafia?

Nope. We can't even tell you we're your informant until we spot a Mafia person.

And Vigilante's aren't allowed to respond via PM either.

I'm a bit bummed out I missed this game because I was in Mexico. Although I'd pick Mexico over a game of mafia any day.

I'll run another one unless Yoohoo is interested again or the victorious ChrisHanel wants back in.  Should I start a signup thread again and we'll decide who runs it after?

Steve-O, apparently feeling that everyone ignoring his earlier accusations against me is a sign he's wrong, switches his gaze to Sideswipe and I breathe a sigh of relief.

Oh, I still suspected you, shifty guy that you are.  But by round 4 it had become clear that my fellow citizens were more interested in blindly tossing a dart and hoping to hit a mafia member than actually reading through the old votes and trying to apply logic.  Going after you again was clearly not going to produce results without some harder evidence, so I decided to start looking elsewehere for the time being.

For future reference, folks, piling on the bandwagon does nothing to help ferret out mafia.  Simply stating, "I vote Mr. X" makes you inconspicuous, but it also allows mafia to hide in plain sight without even having to work at it.  Pointing the finger at somebody to see how they react is much more fruitful.

Personally, I'd rather die fighting than live a short while longer in hiding, but I suppose your mileage may vary.

I think this is why I usually wind up being the wordiest before eventually being bumped off.  I have yet to die via citizen vote.  I came close when I was a vigilante but I outed myself and at least made the mafia waste a hit on me.

Yeah, but when I give reasons, I get the "Long posts= Mafia" meme tossed back at me. Grumble.

So I'm noticing that thew MAFIA tends to win these games, even if it's the last man standing. Is this typical?

My understanding is that it's actually quite unusual.  But then, we RiffTrax fans are a crafty bunch.

It took 4 games to have any mafia survive.  So far it's about 50/50.

I don't have it recorded anywhere, so this is anecdotal, but my memory seems to dictate about 60/40 in favor of the citizens.

This was also on a message board with a lot of experienced players, so I think they were a bit more old hat at figuring out mafia members.

Yeah, Chris' observations jibe my with watching other boards'  Werewolf games. The citizens win a bit more often.
