It had BASIC programming tips

Shhhhhh, you're letting everybody age us!  ; )

Recently a friend of my sister's unearthed her Girl Scout badge handbook, and it had a badge with 0's and 1's on it called "Computer World".  One of the requirements was to "visit a company that has a computer."

When I was in primary school, we had a "computer lab" wiith half a dozen Apple IIe systems, and we learned how to "program" using the "Turtle" software. And the first computer game I ever played was Oregon Trail. :)

By Turtle software, you probably mean Logo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_programming_language

I played Oregon Trail too but the first game I probably played was MathBlaster.  Leisure Suit Larry and Kings Quest were the first games I had for my home PC.

The only time I watched the 'Nick' channel was when Ren & Stimpy was popular (the 90's)..
Nothing has caught my attention since :-",

I'm gonna make a bold statement: I enjoy Rocko's Modern Life more than Ren and Stimpy.

Don't get me wrong, I love 'em both, and Ren and Stimpy is one of the great godlike shows in my book,  but Rocko had this cartoony charm to it that Ren and Stimpy deliberately left out.

That was an awesome show, we're still waiting for the DVD release.  Unless it has been released and I just can't find it.

That's the duck. I mean turtle. ;)

I played Oregon Trail too but the first game I probably played was MathBlaster.  Leisure Suit Larry and Kings Quest were the first games I had for my home PC.

My first computer was a Commodore 64 (technically, I had an Activision, which was a keyboard that you plugged into a tape player and your TV, and casettes were its discs, but my dad and I broke it before we could get it to work). The first game I ever owned was Kung Fu Master, followed by Frogger.

I still have nostalgic love for Oregon Trail though.

And the injustice of being a crack shot but not being able to take any of your kills with you.

I shot the Bison, I should be able to drag it behind the wagon Damnit!

Not that I'm bitter.

Or, at the very least, be able to eat from that food as long as you are resting in the same spot... so you don't continue to lose food as you try to hunt for more.

Apparently, people going along the Oregon Trail stopped for 2-3 weeks at a time to shoot bison and leave 80% of the carcass to rot, while they were camping 10 feet away from it to hunt more food the next day.

BTW - want a challenge playing Oregon Trail? Buy 1 set of clothes (to be shared by 5 people), 1 yoke of oxen, and no spare parts. See if you can make it all the way to Oregon with no fatalities. If you can, you have the best random generator luck in history.

I think we can confine that label to "Pat Robinson," who thinks like no thinking conservative I know.  Or perhaps that's his problem-- he doesn't think.
