But why isn't the jet disintegrated when it hits the particle stream?

Another for the friggin' dog.  It looked like it came from a movie within a movie.

Could be worse, they could have used the original cut of that scene, where Quaid, flies into view, is escorted by the other F/A-18s, and flies up into the particle cannon *IN HIS STEARMAN BIPLANE* with a missle strapped to the side of the cockpit....

I mean it's bad enough that he flies into the beam in his Stearman, but to expect us to believe that FA/18's could fly slowly enough to escort a Stearman biplane?!?
We want a Mac Rifftrax player, NOW!, no more delays, no more vaporware!

Definitely the dog scene. People dying by the millions but thank goodness the dog made it!
Did the riffers even say anything about that? I don't remember it if they did.

Like Tom Hanks said, "don't kill the dog".

It's certainly a cliche (and a cop-out) to make sure the dog doesn't die in a lot of these big hollywood movies.  A movie gets bonus points from me if they actually do kill the dog.  Like in

Hey "Michael Vick", no one likes to see the dog die!

Remember the horrible Stalon movie where he is trapped in a tunnel and he tries to rescue everyone?  They have a scene were everyone has to swim underwater for a long distance and hold their breath for awhile.   The scene ends with the dog looking at the hole as the last person jumps in.   A friend of mind at the theater with me said "hey, I thought you said the dog never dies?".    At the end of the movie, there was this tacked on scene that showed the wet dog sitting there happily being reunited with the humans.   HOW THE FRACK did the dog swim underwater that long and know where to swim to?????

Hilarious.

Report is that he's been offered a plea deal of a year in jail or face more charges than he has now.  And all his co-defendants have plead out (which usually includes testifying against anyone in the group who goes to trial).

Say "Bye-bye".

So, after he gets out of jail, what team would dare to hire him and risk the giant public backlash?    No one, that is who.    At least he has his millions and he can disappear and never be heard from again.

Well you know it's okay if the dog dies in a movie, just as long as we don't have to actually SEE it die.

Oh, I don't know....

Seen the new version of The Fog?   Or the "restored footage" showing how the T-1000 knew that the dog's name wasn't Wolfie in T-2: Rise of the Machines?

Ick.   :(

Sorry.....it's late....got my subtitles mixed up.  I meant Judgement Day .

As far as "What restored footage"....I haven't seen the film with the extra scenes/restored footage since my Ex's 12-laserdisc of the thing so I assume the DVD has the same parts put back (if you want to watch it that way).....

But it's all detailed in the "alterative versions" part of the imdb.com listing.

The bit about the dog is:

"After the T-1000 kills John's foster parents, he ventures outside to get the dog to shut-up. He reaches down and snatches the collar off the dog, thus killing the dog. On the collar is stamped the dog's name ''Max''. The T-1000 realizes he has been duped by John (actually the T-800 imitating John's voice) by calling the dog ''Wolfie''."

I like the extended version, it's pretty widely available these days, there is some good stuff like the T 1000 malfunctioning due to the freezing.
