The Meaningless Debate Thread

Since that's what so many of our threads degenerate into anyway, I thought we should have a thread devoted to goofy debates about issues that no sane person would want to argue about, like in that one episode of MST, where Crow and Servo have a political debate about condiments, I believe.  In any case, let's start with that: condiments?  Which is better on a hot dog: ketchup or mustard?

If I have to choose: Ketchup. It's the duller condiment, but you can use it on more stuff. Also, red looks healthier than yellow.

Pickle Relish and Coleslaw;  Ketchup and Mustard are relics of a bygone paradigm.

Look, I'll give in to the possibility of Barbeque Sauce, but relish? BBQ Sauce can be put on meat, in sandwiches, even in stir fry and soup. But relish? Don't make me laugh.
Ketchup is the future.

To think what ketchup aficionados have become, Heinz wouldn't even recognize them, they're traitors to his memory, He would choose relish if he were alive now.

All of this squabbling and bitter mud slinging is distracting us from what's important: spices.
Condiments are just for touching up food after it's done. If you need to use condiments, you didn't use the right spices the first time around.

Spices, my friends, are key. They are the first and last word in flavor.

Oh, don't get me started on "spices".  I know this guy who uses every combination of spices he can think of on his pork ribs, and they all taste horrible.  Some Maul's is what you need.

Mace, really? We don't actually have that in our spice rack at this point. Gonna have to check it out.

It's like nutmeg only,  different, somehow. Subtler certainly but there's other intangibles too.

Subtle flavor is overrated. Give me pepper flakes and cinnamon all the way! Anyone who says otherwise is a fool!

Oh no it's not subtle in general just subtler nutmeggy flavor while being very distinctive in other ways.
