THE APPLE, the horror

I netflixed this because of Mike's references to it.

Someone who looks like they could be Pink's mother and another person who looks like the love child of Hasslehoff and McGuyver with Schwartzeneger's accent "star" in a roller disco musical, only without any wheels.

It's all about an evil monolithic music industry that is more decadent and flamboyant than the Flash Gordon movie.  Made in 1980, it predicts this is what 1994 will look like, despite it actually looking like 1979.

Please find a way to see this movie.  Ideally, become a foreign national, and catch the ire of our secret police who will put you in Guantanamo and force you to watch it on an old 70s console television with bad tubes over spotty UHF.  Otherwise you might end up seeing it like me, in perfect clarity on widescreen DVD -- it just seems too "dirty" of a movie (without any actual nudity) to see in that clarity.

I won't spoil the ending for you, but the movie will.
