Best Week ever is full of hack comedians who couldn't find something funny to say if they had a gun to there head................. was that harsh?

Best Week Ever is better than what people say...  They have slowly been dumping the "I've got one thing that's actualy funny" folks like Chris Jereco (whatever), so the show has been getting stronger over time.

They don't always have great material to work with, but they do what they can.

Doug Benson had the best joke the week that Kenny Rodgers had his plastic surgery...

"Laaaady... I'm your knight in shining armor, have some chickennnnn."

E! and VH1 both have so many bad shows that the Soup and Best Week Ever bring to my attention.  In fact, if it wasn't for those two shows I'd never see any of Flavor of Love or that "reality?" show with Paris Hilton. Some day that will pay off in a trivia contest.
Nobody mentioned Aisha Tyler's time as host of Talk Soup. I usually enjoy her acting although I couldn't bring myself to watch The Ghost Whisperer just for her.  She was excellent filling in for Ebert on a couple episodes with Roeper.

Ok maybe Best Week Ever isn't that bad...but there is a reason comedians like Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, etc. are not on it....

They are too busy waiting for the next Comedy Central roast so they can get a gig?

sorry...had to be done....
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

Patton WAS on it. He used to be the head writer, I think. Besides, for my money, one Paul F Tompkins is just as good as either of them.  Enjoy this short film he starred in.

Like many people mentioned, I watch The Soup whenever I happen to catch it on. I've enjoyed it over the years with the three hosts I remember (were there more?).

Does anyone else think that the current host John McHale would make an excellent guest riffer?  I mean, he's already riffing pop culture right now as it is....

Interesting idea... the host of soup (cult tv show) & the host of rifftrax (cult podcast) join forces for the ultimate riff track! In the past Mchale has been on Tony Danza's show, and if someone at rifftrax would ask he might say yes. Unfortunately I don't think their is enough Soup awareness in this community (ie; fan backlash)

I check out The Soup every week.  C'mon, it's fun.

I hear the ratings for the show are climbing -- the NY Times recently did a piece on the increasing popularity of the show (registration req'd) -- so it seems awareness is on the grow.

Glad to see more people discovering "the soup", such a strange symbionic relationship (spell check says its not a word but I learned it from Episode 1!) ... E!'s reality shows get more viewers to the network, in turn giving the soup more viewers.

Hey can you copy and paste the article, I don't feel like subscribing to that liberal trash
(hehe just kidding I like the Times, I'm just lazy)

thanks but I tried one of the passwords and it didn't work so I gave up. I thought I already explained that I'm lazy, how hard is it to copy paste it here?

Hey if they ever do a Rosie O'Donnel movie, or another Tom Cruise one, they should definitely invite him to riff.
