Also it looks like its been confirmed by harmonix that the release date has been pushed back to the 20th of November, before thanksgiving so its not going to be a rush to purchase during black friday.

Quote
We're thankful to the powers that be for having the good sense to move up Rock Band's official release date from the previously announced November 23, aka Black Friday, to the less frantic Tuesday before Thanksgiving, November 20.

Pushed forwards, Brak. Pushed back would put it in December, and that would be bad. GH3 can only entertain me for a few weeks before I need my drums.

They put together a really impressive setlist there.  Still not sure I wanna drop all that cash to play the game, but it's tempting.

I'll probably buy it just to have the chance to play the New Pornos or Pixies tracks.  If I get the PS2 version, I've already got two guitars and a mike, so I'm just out the drum kit, whenever they get around to releasing that by itself.

Someday I'll be able to enjoy online play and DLC.  Just not this year.

Well the final reveal was a total anti-climax. I'll still get it, but man I hope we see some killer DLC.

Yeah, the drum kit is actually what I'm most excited about.  I liked that quote from an ign article where they said (paraphrasing) "if you can play the drums on expert level, you pretty much know how to play the drums."  Awesome.

Most of the news reports I've read so far have said January or so for the Wii edition, so that's fine. Assuming Red Octane gets its  sh*t together and lets us buy GH3 as a two-player game someday, I would probably be ready for something fresh within 2 months or so :)
