Thanks to Anais.Jude for the heads-up on this thread (it might've otherwise taken me a long time to find it... if I ever did).

So... my cat, "Lucas", is a beautiful full-black cat (something I'd wanted pretty much as far back as I can remember).  [By the way, my screen name is for him, not him named for me (it was his name for three years before I got him).]  He was a stray rescued by my vets' office, who I got just a few months after my previous cat (of 17 years) died.  He was VERY well socialized before he'd been abandoned (thankfully), so he is VERY affectionate.  And most every night he'll sleep against my lower leg with at least one paw draped over it as if it were a body pillow, as in his eyes I am clearly one of his littermates.   ;D

I have, for a few years now, produced 'small quantity' homemade notecards with first, my previous cat, and now with Lucas.  Most of these are pics that have ended up on notecards.

First, a portrait, to get the overall feel...

Then an 'action shot' with his catnip-saturated faux mouse...

1940s-era film 'sneaking'...

"Bodyguards"

Last month I brought a ramiken of snow in for him, here is some of his tentative examination of it...
[irrelevant detail: not turned into a card because of the background clutter]

Get ready to "Awwww....", this is "Rabbit Paws"...

and... him not QUITE comfy enough yet...

...and finally (for this post, certainly) the last pic of him, so let's have a big...
HIGH FIVE!!

Here is my cat Trouble:

Here he is when were getting ready to move and he was completely stressed out and not cleaning himself. I think of it as Trouble doing his Bill the Cat impression. The pic is big so I spoiler tagged it:

Quirk, are you a lonely dowager?

Quite the opposite, actually. I'm a 17-year old boy living with my family. It was a good guess though, given the information available to you.  ;D

That is seriously the largest number of problem cats (at least percentage-wise) I have seen in one location in my entire life, and I've volunteered for four separate rural shelters. Cheers to you guys for being so open about caring for them regardless of their condition.
