    • Yep, I have a deviantART gallery. But it's pretty cheerful drawings-- no angsty poems or black-and-white photos of wooden chairs.

^ I'll reply to that with the same thing I say every time I pass by a horse in a real life:

"Hey, horse, how's it goin'?"

My cat's coming up on a year old. The papers that the rescue gave me lists her date of birth as 8/10/2009. I imagine that's a guess, since the records also say she was first dropped off there exactly one month later. They probably just made an educated guess at her age then. But I'll take it.

My little Laney is growing up. She never really got that big, though. I like that, the cat I had growing up stayed pretty small, too.

I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?

So I was out working on installing a couple fog lights on my Durango about 20 minutes ago and check out what slithered on by.. :o

Just got confirmation about my snake from my exterminator friend (He's also a Zoology expert)..

This is a Black Racer, it is not poisonous. It is a constrictor, It will eat mice, insects, small birds, but is not harmful to humans. If there is no food source around it will move on very quickly.
But like I said, I have a cave cricket infestation under my house so it should be quite happy there ;D

See that little chunk of precious? My tiny baby? My favorite pet I've ever even heard of?

Yeah, she did this.

Puppies*, man. We started keeping the garbage in the bathroom while we're at work because she was knocking it over in the kitchen (she likes coffee grounds), and apparently the door didn't shut all the way. That was fun to come home to.

*Also, yes, she's a puppy. We were told when we got her that she was 2, then when we took her to the vet, the vet said "Yeeeeeahh, she's maybe 9 months to a year." Which I love, but wasn't really prepared for. But I love her, she's awesome. Shmurpy.

Aww adorable destruction. I still have a folder of the wanton rampages Boudica went on when she was tiny.

She really hated Foreign Affairs Journal.

You eat a lot of food in the bathroom.

I get hungry in the shower.

(also, as I said, we keep the garbage can in there when we're at work   :P )

By the by, don't judge the bathroom tiles. It's a rental. I didn't do that.

There's nothing more refreshing than a glass of powdered Country Time Lemonade while you're in the shower.

And cat food. And a whole raspberry pie.

Fun fact: the first thing I noticed when I walked in was a big puddle of raspberry pie filling on the couch. I thought it was blood, then saw the seeds. Then my head slow-motion turned to the left and saw the wake of garbage terror.

She's awesome. She's sweet, super protective and just a good dog. I was sick last week and she would NOT leave my side, and then when fiance's parents' dog stayed with us last night (a very old golden retriever) Annie kept trying to help her move around. She's the best. She's just, ya know, a puppy.

I miss garbage not on my floor, though. And the shoes she ate.
